ODS Decisions
Today we took some decisions on our planned ODS architecture, mainly:
1.- Queries and reports requesting historic information (historic being >24 hours old) would have to go to the ODS, and of course in the development phase, programmers would have to provision ETL processes to feed the ODS.
2.- Transactional systems would store information for up to 13 months.
3.- The ODS would store detailed information for up to 5 years (thinking about it, we should have a similar restriction for summarized Datawarehouse information, 7 years maybe?)
